Laura first hit our National Television screens as one of the main regular members of the highly successful BBC 1 "Changing Rooms" series, and her designs brought her national acclaim and a lot of media attention .

"Changing Rooms" was a runaway success in America on the BBC America channel and the programme is shown in more than 20 countries around the world .

The television series "House Invaders" was another UK success that featured Laura, plus further interior design programmes such as "Good Homes", "Danger Zone" and "Makeover Disasters".

Always up for a challenge Laura recently appeared on the Horse and Country Channel (Sky ) where she learned to ride horses and take part in a prestigious Polo Match.

Always top of her class in Art and Design , Laura worked her way through college, got a job painting house signs, worked in London as a model in the fashion trade and then moved to Manchester where she continued with her modelling career, (she also did a bit of singing in a band )

The antithesis of fellow Changing Rooms designer Linda Barker , Laura,33, is an edgy, non-conformist interior designer who has an established reputation amongst celebrities who expect the best interiors with a contemporary edge.

Laura is not afraid to speak her mind or hit new ground, for her interior design is a movement like any other within the arts -constantly changing and constantly breaking new barriers.

She has passion for everything in her life -her work, her new showroom, but most importantly, her seven year old son Lestat.
The challenges of being a working single mother do not phase Laura ,in fact nothing does - it drives her harder, generating even greater inspiration, momentum and energy.

Interior designer to some of the biggest names in the UK, Laura McCree started out selling fabric on the family market stall while she was studying Fine Art .

Laura soon formed her own business travelling around Cheshire selling fabrics and furnishings to converters, manufacturers, upholsterers and large retail groups. Laura transformed the family furnishing business, the Furnishing Emporium in Wilmslow into the highly successful Design Emporium. This design partnership has now come to an end ,giving way to the exciting birth of Laura McCree Interiors - a groundbreaking new force in design.

Laura McCree Interiors her long awaited London showroom is open in the Old York Road, the new design showroom showcases Laura's most exciting and often controversial interior designs and products.
