Mark is an experienced and busy broadcaster with a proven track record. Over the last 16 years he has fronted over 1000 shows on a diverse range of subjects including pets, animal welfare, wildlife, gardening, interior design, travel, DIY, cars and practical engineering. He has presented prime time formats for all four terrestrial broadcasters in the UK (BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Five) and his shows on Discovery are broadcast in over 70 countries.

Most of Mark's TV work is pre-recorded (studio and location), but his preference is for live and as-live formats. He is meticulous about pre-programme preparation and always presents knowledgeably and with authority, whatever the subject. Mark enjoys working unscripted (but armed with essential facts !) and has a proven ability to coax natural performances out of even the most nervous on-screen contributors. He is a likeable, engaging and down-to-earth presenter.

Mark's passion is for science-related programmes and he has built a solid reputation for his ability to translate and communicate complex subjects to non-specialist audiences of all ages. His down-to-earth style, inquisitive nature and relaxed relationship with both contributors and the camera are an engaging mix that have helped him become a well-known and trusted face on TV screens across the world. A qualified veterinary surgeon, Mark has worked as an expert presenter and producer on a raft of high profile animal shows. He is most interested in the extraordinary relationships that exist between people and other animals, both those that live wild and those that share our homes.

Mark is an acknowledged DIY fanatic and relishes practical challenges of any kind, His broad range of DIY skills and gregarious personality have helped him build a strong reputation as a very hands-on, “lifestyle” presenter. He has his own fully-kitted engineering workshop and is a keen and accomplished amateur mechanic. He writes a regular multi-page feature for the UK ’s biggest selling Classic Car Magazine.

More recently Mark has been appointed as the media spokesperson for the RSPCA.
