Rob is one of the best known names and faces on ITV Granada and is in constant demand as a facilitator and host of a range of commercial, business and charitable events as well as web casts and as a  contributor and commentator, especially on commercial and BBC Radio.

He has a unique range across news, current affairs, arts and entertainment programming which stretches from hard hitting political and current affairs programmes such as ‘World in Action’ to the revival of ‘The Tube’ – which he masterminded in 2006.

But it is as a Presenter that he has really made his mark - he joined Granada in 1982 and has fronted the hugely popular ‘Granada Reports’ along with ‘Granada Tonight’, the ground breaking political series, ‘The Spin’, ITV1’s first interactive current affairs series ‘The Last Word’ plus ‘The Line’ which ran throughout the 1990s and then its successor ‘The Sunday Supplement’ and now ‘Party People’.

This award winning presenter and former ‘World in Action’ investigator and ITN reporter was also one of the first voices on BBC Radio Five Live where he co-hosted the Weekend Breakfast Programmes.

He is known for his incisive but affable, quick witted and spontaneous style.

A recent magazine article described him as one of the most ‘Respected’ presenters around – ‘Respected by his colleagues, interviewees and his audience’.

He has met interviewed or produced major interviews with some of the most important names in the UK including Margaret Thatcher, John Major, Tony Blair and in recent years he has conducted headline grabbing interviews with Gordon brown, John Prescott, Edwina Currie, Jack Straw and Sir Menzies Campbell.

Away from the screen he is also an award winning producer and has just revived the iconic music show ‘The Tube’ for the new Channel Four Radio service and UK 1 FM. The new shows are fronted by Alex James (Blur); Konnie Huq (Blue Peter); Emily Rose (MTV) and Anthony Wilson (Factory Records fame).

Bands and guests have included REM; New Order; Paul Weller; DJ Shadow; Kasabian; Jamie T and Camera Obscura as well as a host of new talent.

Rob has made programmes for every major UK TV channel including ITV, BBC TV, Channel Four as well as Discovery, S4Ci and stations abroad.

These have included News, Current Affairs, Documentaries and entertainment shows including a recent tribute to one of his heroes, the late Eric Morecambe; a BBC TV ‘People’s War’ special on Sir Tom Finney and an international series on the role of the camera in warfare, medicine and entertainment – ‘Eye on the World’.

For the first time ever, Rob united two great British Orchestras for an ITV and Classic FM spectacular and masterminded a tribute show and CD to the Bee Gees which led to the number one best selling single ‘Tragedy’ by Steps. (Please forgive him, for that!).

Rob has founded a series of independents including the Unique Communications Group with Noel Edmonds which produces ‘The British Comedy Awards’ annually for ITV1.

He has hosted major conferences and events in Brussels, London, Manchester, Liverpool, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Paris for airlines, newspapers, TV companies, major sporting and leisure firms and for charities as well as Universities.

He lives in Manchester and London.
